Bus terminal in Viru CentrePrint
As stopping time of the buses is limited in the bus terminal in Viru Centre, bus drivers are not selling tickets in the stops located in the underground terminal.
We kindly ask that the passengers purchase their ticket, a Smartcard, or other electronic ticket product from the R-Kiosk located in the bus terminal.
The Viru Centre bus terminal was opened on 07.05.2004 and bus traffic was routed through the terminal in three stages during the period from 24 April to 1 June 2004. In stage I, buses operating on the Lasnamäe routes were directed to the terminal, in stage II buses headed to Pirita, and in stage III the buses running along Pärnu Hwy. were redirected. In total, 14 Hobujaama dispatcher station bus routes have been directed to the terminal (routes 1A, 8, 14, 15, 18, 19, 29, 34A, 35, 38, 40, 44, 48 and 51).
In the bus station located under Viru Centre there are 6 underground bus stops and 2 above-ground back-up stops for emergency situations located on Laikmaa Street, next to the terminal. Since 1 January 2014, there are 850 daily departures from the terminal, adding up to more than 65 buses per hour at peak times.
The terminal provides convenient access to bus stops and has a spacious and modern waiting area. The terminal is fitted with information boards and electronic Internet-based information points. The terminal has an electronic control system for buses which ensures their timely departures.
